As the year continues it shows so much of what is going on as we are witnessing the signs of the times.
We are hearing more from leaders and those who are leaders of ministries and churches who state that money is especially tight or the funds for different ministry projects are just not available. As we progress forward by faith, we find that the Father does supply our need. Especially if He has commissioned at the appointed season.
It seems that certain individuals and/or organized groups of people who realize the church is wealthier than we, as people of faith ought to know. We are at a time caution and implementation of policies should protect the funds as we are warranted to the duty of good stewards from the bounty received. As the economy is tighter and appears to strangle, per personal perceptions, there has always been an understanding that the church is a resource for help in the time of need. What questions arise are what warrants a need, whom or how do we categorize need from low need, high need or extreme need? When leaders of a ministry or church become presented with these need, do we divide the amount given based on the individual need requested or a set amount given for those need in the categories implemented?
I bring these questions to thought after recently reading an article that has become necessary to share as the church is once again being attacked. Here are thoughts to ponder. If these attacks continue are they a means to pull the resources away to hinder the church, causing them to either shut down or stagnate the multiplication of ministry growth? Take away from people who really do call for the assistance from the church? Has the leaders of the ministry, entrusted to them by G-d, have mechanisms in place to ward off potential thieves robbing G-d and the church?
We are to uphold assistance with brotherly love, but that assistance has will need a system and not fall prey to those with a good story.
Here is a story of a woman and 2 men that had a corporate scam to rob several churches: Passing the plate http://bit.ly/f6wSuR. It is truly awesome how the plan was caught, more importantly, what will be the outcome of this. The lesson to learn from this: they are not the only ones. Take it as a warning for more will come.
I look forward to your opinion.
